I have just released a new song, Walk in My Shoes, and recently appeared in the Cape with Tigger, my guitarist, who I have been performing with for many years, and Barry van Zyl, Johnny Clegg’s drummer. I also recently appeared on TV in In Die Kollig and Trending SA.

What is your avourite song right now?

My new release, Walk in my Shoes, and also Sia’s Bird Set Free.

The last album you bought – and why?

I recently bought Best of the Eagles .  This album has the finest songs ever written.

Two of your favourite songs of all time?

Hotel California by the Eagles and Black or White by Michael Jackson.

Three of the finest albums ever?

Michael Jackson’s Thriller and the latest albums by Sia and Zinhle.

Song you hate the most right now?

I don’t ever hate. It’s too strong a word

 Worst song in history?

Happy Birthday.

Song you most associate with your teens?

You’re So Good to Me.  That song got me the name Thandeka.  I was 18 years old and couldn’t believe I ‘happened’ because of that song.

Song you most associate with your early childhood years?

The Click Song by Miriam Makeba.

The size of your music collection and the artists represented most there?

I have an eclectic, collection and a large variety of music on my iPod.

Favourite radio station and DJ?

I am setting myself up for failure!

Jabba, HHP, Brenda Fassie, The Soul Brothers, ,Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Karen Zoid.

There are too many to mention.

I don’t understand the question?

Pet hate/s about the music scene in South Africa?

I don’t hate but people without humility are the lowest on my food chain.

The one music act you would give the world to see perform live?

Bette Midler.

Yes – there were many in my youth.

Michael Jackson,  Rolling Stones, Brenda Fassie and Seal.

Freddie Mercury.

Eric Clapton.

The Beatles.

My taste is so schizophrenic.
