Betty White (pictured), of hit TV series The Golden Girls, would have celebrated her birthday today. She died, aged 99, on December 31, 2021.
Singer Francoise Hardy would have turned 81 today, while British singer Paul Young celebrates his 69th birthday. Actress Zoey Deschanel turns 45, Jim Carrey turns 63 and Kid Rock turns 54. Chart-topper Calvin Harris turns 41 and Susannah Hoff, formerly of hit group Bangles, turns 66.
Also on this day, in 2004, Tony Award-nominated producer Ray Stark, 88, died of a heart attack. Stark brought the musical Funny Girl to Broadway, and later to the big screen (his mother-in-law was Fanny Brice).
