Today marks the 15th anniversary of the death of Aussie actor Heath Ledger (pictured), who won a posthumous Oscar playing The Joker in The Dark Knight. Born in 1979, he died in 2008.
Today also marks the birthday of INXS singer Michael Hutchence, who died in November 1997; while Ann Miller, the leggy tap dancer who starred in Sugar Babies on Broadway and appeared in the films Kiss Me, Kate and On the Town, died on this day in 2004. She was 80.
Today also marks the birthdays of screen stars Diane Lane (58), star of The Exorcist Linda Blair (64) and Balthazar Getty (47), while former Guns ’N Roses drummer Steve Adler turns 57 and US rapper Silento (who had a hit with Watch Me) turns 24.
