This Day in Showbiz History… September 4

Beyonce (pictured) turns 41 today while American Beauty and Hunger Games actor Wes Bentley turns 44 and musician Mark Ronson (who gave us Valerie with Amy Winehouse) turns 47.

Comedienne and host of TV’s Fashion Police, Joan Rivers, died, aged 81, on this day in 2014. Another who died on this day, in 2006, was Aussie Steve Irwin, star of TV’s Crocodile Hunter. He was born in 1962.

Footloose star Kevin Bacon married actress Kyra Sedgwick on this day in 1988, and Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall tied the knot with sound designer Mark Levinson on this day in 1988.

Japanese Boy by Aneka (interestingly, a Scottish folk singer) was topping the UK singles chart on this day in 1981.  It spent a week at the top. Just saying…
