Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon (pictured) turns 75 today, while Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz turns 65 and Clueless actress Alicia Silverstone turns 45. Actor Liev Schreiber turns 53 today.

John Lennon released his Walls and Bridges album on this day in 1974, and, still on the music scene, singer Gwen Stefani divorced musician Gavin Rossdale on this day in 2016, after 13 years of marriage.

It was on this day in 2009 that the one-woman, autobiographical show by Carrie Fisher, titled Wishful Drinking, opened at Broadway’s Studio 54.

On this day in 1976, Abba rose to the top of the South African singles chart with SOS. It stayed on top for four weeks and marked the Swedish group’s third No 1 hit. Just saying…
