Singer Art Garfunkel turns 81 today while Canadian rocker Bryan Adams (pictured) turns 64 and actress Tilda Swinton turns 62. Music star Kevin Jonas turns 35 and actor Sam Rockwell turns 54.

It was on this day in 1956 that The Nat King Cole Show, the first TV show hosted by an African American – Nat King Cole – made its debut in America, on the NBC network.

Oscar-winner Vivien Leigh, star of Gone With the Wind, was born on this day in 1913. She died in 1967.

The Art Garfunkel ballad, I Only Have Eyes For You, was topping the UK singles chart on this day in 1975. It spent two weeks in the top spot. Just saying…
