ON THIS DAY IN 2019:

Actor Matthew McConaughy (pictured) and rapper Puff Daddy both turn 50 today, while Aussie celebrity chef Curtis Stone turns 44and Jeff Prost, host of the US version of TV’s Survivor, turns 58. Former child singer Lena Zavaroni, who died at an early age, was also born on November 4.

It was on this day on 1978 that a then-20-year-old Fran Drescher, nasal-voiced star of TV’s The Nanny, married writer and director Peter Marc Jacobsen, then also aged 20.

Crowning the South African singles chart on this day in 1983 was The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats, which spent 10 weeks at No 1. Just saying…
