Five years ago on this day, the acclaimed Peter Morgan play, The Audience, starring Helen Mirren (pictured), opened on Broadway. A chronicle of Queen Elizabeth II in imagined meetings with each of her Prime Ministers, the play saw Mirren take the Tony Award for her performance, as did Richard McCabe for his performance as Harold Wilson.
