Actor Martin Landau celebrates his 89th birthday today, while Sweet Magnolias star Olympia Dukakis turns 86 and Sweet Home Alabama actor Josh Lucas turns 46. Director Stephen Frears turns 76 today.

On this day in 1974, the hit film Chinatown, with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway, was released, while on this day in 1975 the Steven Spielberg classic, Jaws, first reached cinemas.
