Paul McCartney (pictured) turns 80 today while actress Isabella Rossellini turns 70 today. On this day in 1958, US actress Ethel Barrymore died at the age of 79.

Singer Bobby Brown, former husband of Whitney Houston, wed Alicia Etheridge in Honolulu, Hawaii, on this day in 2012. He was 43.

On this day in 2012, Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline played the star-crossed lovers in a one-night-only gala staged reading of the William Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet, at the Delacorte Theatre in New York’s Central Park. Others in the star cast included Christopher Walken, Sam Waterston, Jeffrey Wright, F Murray Abraham and Christine Baranski.

Local singer Marie Gibson rose to the top of the South African singles chart on this day in 1976 with One Day At a Time, which spent two weeks crowning the chart. Just saying…
