Singer-actress Selena Gomez (pictured) turns 25 today, both Don Henley of The Eagles and actor Albert Brooks turn 70, and both US actor Danny Glover and French actress Mirielle Matthieu turn 71.

Actor Willem Dafoe turns 62 and both actor David Spade and actor John Leguizamo turn 53. Actress Louise Fletcher, an Oscar-winner for her stern Nurse Ratchett in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, turns 83.

Rick Davies, London-born singer and keyboardist with Supertramp,  turns 74 today, while Alan Menken, composer of songs for many Walt Disney animated movies, turns 68 today.

Topping the UK singles chart on this day in 1965 was the Bob Dylan-composed Mr Tambourine Man by The Byrds. It spent two weeks crowning the chart. Just saying…
