Singer-actress Jessica Simpson turns 42 today while actor Chiwetel Ejiofor turns 44 and Adrian Grenier, star of TV’s Entourage, turns 46. Actor Omar Sharif died on this day in 2015, aged 83.

The Beatles released their third album, A Hard Day’s Night, on this day in 1964, while on this day in 1972, the Donny Osmond hit, Puppy Love, was enjoying the first of five weeks crowning the UK singles chart. The song, Osmond’s first No 1 hit, was written by Paul Anka. Just saying…
