This day in 2025 marked the final Broadway performance of the audacious Jamie Lloyd revival of the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit, Sunset Boulevard, which won Nicole Sherzinger, formerly of the all-girl group The Pussycat Dolls, a Tony Award as best lead actress in a musical. She also took the Olivier Award in London for the same role. Sunset Boulevard ran for 20 previews and 312 regular performances at New York’s St James Theatre. This production also took Tony Awards for best revival of as musical, and for lighting by Jack Knowles.
