Rocker Alice Cooper (pictured) turns 77 today and also celebrating birthdays are singer Natalie Imbruglia (50) and John Steel (84), the former drummer with The Animals. Locally, South African theatre icon Andrew Buckland turns 71 today.
On this day in 2024, Taylor Swift broke the record for the artist winning the most Album of the Year awards at the Grammy Awards. Scooping the award for Midnights made her a four-time winner of this top prize.
The same 2024 awards ceremony, hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah, saw Miley Cyrus win the Record of the Year Grammy, for Flowers. Victoria Monét took home the Best New Artist award.
