DURBAN’S Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert are back with more lunacy and laughter in a brand-new show, Bump & Grind, which has this seasoned song-and-comedy team performing from December 18 to January 4 at Northlands Bowling Club in Durban North.
Even better news is that this site has four tickets to give away to the 7.30pm Friday, December 19, performance. See the end of this post for details on how to enter the competition.
Presented in association with The Rhumbelow Theatre, Bump & Grind is directed and choreographed by Daisy Spencer. Featuring characters new and familiar, it is packed with a colourful parade of oddball comedy and hit songs.
Back by popular demand are whining Bruce and Charmaine as unforgettable Elvis impersonators; Dot and Max settling into the chaos of retirement village life; and everyone’s favourite philosopher of the people, Dr Veejay, offering his “words of wisdom”. Add in a host of hilarious new faces, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for festive season fun.
Performances are at 7.30pm most nights, but 6.30pm on Sundays. Tickets cost R220 each (R200 for pensioners: R180 for under-13s) and booking is via WebTickets or by mailing Roland Stansell at roland@stansell.co.za
