Braun, who has made London home for the past 25 years, with a detour via Los Angeles, became a household name in South Africa as one of M-Net’s popular TV continuity presenters before appearing on Bon Voyage.

A versatile singer and actress, she was also in constant demand for many TV and theatre roles before heading off to the US.
While in Los Angeles, she notched up TV credits on shows such as The West Wing, Silk Stalkings, Babylon and Whose Line is it Anyway, and was noted for her role as Hathor in the sci-fi series, Stargate, for which she remains widely known.

In London she has done theatre, television and film, credits including roles in Mamma Mia, The Cherry Orchard, Summer of Rockets and the recent film, The Princess Switch, alongside Vanessa Hudgens.

Her impressive affinity for accents and dialects and great comedic timing also ensure she is a sought-after voice-over artist across the globe.

Says Spotlight On… co-producer Collett Dawson: “I have had the privilege of being able to see Suanne on many London stages in my travels to England, and of course, in many TV series that South African audiences have greatly enjoyed. Her acting prowess, whether in serious or comedic roles, is unparalleled.

I am so pleased to have her on Spotlight On… this week so that our audience can get the opportunity to celebrate this great South African talent.
