TWO-THIRDS of the cast of the hit show, The Glitter Girls, are reuniting for a new show, Diva Lost Vegas, which runs at the Rhumbelow Theatre at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof soon – and this site is offering a prize of two sets of four tickets to attend the first performance at 8pm on Friday, February 7.

Running at Tina’s Hotel at 8pm on Friday and Saturday, February 7 and 8, and 2pm on Sunday, February 9, the show teams Lisa Bobbert and Marion Loudon. It is also scheduled for a weekend run at the Umbilo Rhumbelow Theatre, in Cunningham Road, from February 14 to 16.

Diva Lost Vegas pays tribute to the woman (and some men) who have called the desert strip their home. It is a new musical comedy tipping hats to the likes of Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Bette Midler, Donna Summer, Tina Turner, The Pointer Sisters, Jennifer Lopez, Aretha Franklin and others.

The feisty show, directed and choreographed by Daisy Spencer, focuses on what happens when two disappointed dance moms find themselves in hot water. Pulling off a major fundraising event for their daughter’s dance studio is hard when your entertainment, a celebrity female impersonator, bails. In a moment of courage and madness they decide they have what it takes!

Needing more than a mid-life crisis to keep them down, these tired, middleage moms unleash their inner-diva as they transform into star wannabes, igniting the stage with impersonations of their iconic idols.
