Bad Peter… a support act on September 29.

Award-winning and Cape Town-based Jeremy Loops, noted for his iconic foot-stomping, beat-boxing and looping lyrical genius, arrived on the music scene with his first album, achieving a No 1 debut on iTunes, in 2014.

After spending most of 2018 travelling to Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, he’s back in sunny South Africa and ready to delight Durban fans.

Thobile Tshabalala, head of brand Old Mutual, is proud to be a part of this music series: “This musical sponsorship enables us, as Old Mutual, to truly connect with people who are passionate about enjoying their lives and having a quality time together with family and friends”.

All proceeds from the Music at the Lake concerts are allocated by the Durban Botanic Gardens Trust to projects that assist with the maintenance and sustainability of the gardens. The garden dates back to 1849 and makes it both the oldest surviving botanic garden on the African continent, and Durban’s oldest public institution.

Tickets for the Jeremy Loops concert are available via www.webtickets.co.za. Early-bird tickets cost R170 for adults, R120 for children aged six to 12, and R20 for children under the age of six.

Gates will open at 12.30pm on Sunday, September 29. Secure parking is available on the umPhafa field at the Durban Botanic Gardens.

Popular band Rubber Duc will perform in Durban on September 29.

Those attending are invited to spend the afternoon picnicking on the lawns, and are welcome to take along their own food, drink, blankets and camping chairs.
