Some of the world’s best dance champions feature in Burn the Floor, which has been described as “striking and inventive”, “dazzling”, “irresistible” and “gloriously sinful”.

The show ended a season at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre on August 17 and moves to Johannesburg’s Emperor’s Palace from August 22 to September 8. It then visits the iZulu Theatre from September 12 to 29.

Tickets at Sibaya Casino cost R285 each and are available from Computicket or via Checkers and Shoprite retail stores.

“From a seriously romantic waltz to a futuristic foxtrot and passionate paso doble, the expert choreography by Peta Roby and execution by the dancers, Burn the Floor will have dance fans in its grips from start to finish.  Revel in the emotional power of the cha-cha, the samba and the jive and hold on to your jaw as the smoking rumba unfolds,” says a spokesman for the show.

Burn The Floor is one of the world’s most prolific ballroom and theatre productions and is said to have revolutionised the image of ballroom across the globe. It has a reputation of being the world’s toughest dance show, which is why it features the best international cast of dance champions who are handpicked for their outstanding skill and, as is the case this year, their rebellious spirit.

Be on the lookout for South African Latin dancing champion Kylee Brown and local guest singer Lelo Ramasimong, a popular finalist on this year’s The Voice South Africa and the award-winning star of the hit stage musical The Color Purple.
