Tanner Wareham, Reece Cook and George Ogollo are the stars of The Bob Dylan Tribute Show. They are a talented Durban trio making their theatrical debut after chalking up experience on the local music scene.

Singer-guitarist Tanner has been training and performing as a musician since the age of six. He is said to have developed a talent to recreate the sound of iconic artists such as Dylan, Sting and Neil Young, and has built up a demand as a one-man artist in Durban.

Session musicians Reece (bass) and George (drums) are foremost known for their work with the band Stone Palace.

Performances of The Bob Dylan Tribute Show are scheduled for 8pm on May 15, 16, 17 and 18 and at 2pm on Sunday, May 19, as well as at the same times the following Wednesday to Sunday, May 22 to 26.

The show is scheduled for a two-week season at the Durban branch of the Rhumbelow Theatre, in Cunningham Road, Umbilo, from July 19 and will be at the Northlands branch on July 6.

Folk singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is one of the most influential and original artists in American music history, noted for using his music to chronicle social and political issues. He has won Grammy, Academy and Golden Globe awards and became the first musician to win a Nobel Prize for literature.

A lyrical genius, Dylan has written songs that have gone on to be some of folk and rock ’n’ roll’s greatest hits, including Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door, All Along The Watchtower, Blowing In The Wind, To Make You Feel My Love and The Times They Are A-Changin’.

Tickets for the show cost R150 each (R130 for pensioners and students with cards, during the first week of shows only.
