SUCH was its success last July that, by public demand, Durban’s KickstArt theatre company is reviving, for a short season only, its enchanting stage production of the Roald Dahl story, The BFG – and good news is that SoSuterBill has two sets of four tickets to give away!

Each of the two competition winners will receive prize tickets for a family of four to attend the performance at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, at 4pm on Friday, March 22. Note that the tickets cannot be exchange for any other performance.

For details on how to enter for this great prize, see the end of this story.

Running from March 21 to 31, for either morning or matinee shows only, The BFG tells of  the adventures of a big friendly giant, and Sophie, a little orphan he befriends. It is perfect family fare for the Easter school holidays.

Greg King returns to redirect this children’s classic in which 10-year-old Sophie is in for the adventure of a lifetime when she meets the Big Friendly Giant.

Naturally scared at first, the girl soon realises that the 8m behemoth is actually quite gentle and charming. As their friendship grows, Sophie’s presence attracts the unwanted attention of Bloodbottler, Fleshlumpeater and other giants.

After travelling to London, Sophie and the BFG must convince the Queen to help them get rid of all the bad giants once and for all.

Featuring quirky and inventive puppetry, the show stars Bryan Hiles, Belinda Henwood, Clare Mortimer, Daisy Spencer, Straw Nzimande and Lyle Buxton.

Booking is at Computicket. Tickets range in price from R135 to R195 (R115 to R165 for pensioners and under-12s).

Performances are as follows:

Thursday, 21 March: 11am & 2.30pm

Friday, 22 March: 4pm

Saturday, 23 March: 11am & 2.30pm

Sunday, 24 March: 11am & 2.30pm
