Drag lip-sync icon Lilly Slaptsilli is performing in Kloof this weekend.

LILLY SLAPTSILLI: SHENANIGANS
(Rhumbelow Theatre, Tina’s Hotel, Kloof)

Sassy, sexy and outrageous Cape Town lip-sync drag icon Lilly Slaptsilli, formerly of hit drag duo Mince, returns with her first solo show – a giddy, glittery, often naughty collage of camp comedy drag, lip-sync and some glam standup. Great fun, with salutes to Carol Burnett, Motown, air hostesses and lots more. Great fun if you love lip-sync done well and drag that is a good cut above the average. Final performances at 8pm today and tomorrow (June 15 and 16) and 2pm on Sunday (June 17). Tickets cost R150 and Roland Stansell (082 499 8636) is your contact for bookings. (BS)

THAT ’80S SHOW
(The Rockwood Theatre, Sibaya Casino, near Umhlanga)
Andrew Webster has devised and directed this third party entertainment at Durban’s grand new supper theatre, which opened last November. Durban’s popular Barry and Calli Thomson are among a cast that pays tribute to ’80s hits by, among others, Tears For Fears, Def Leppard, Yazoo, Belinda Carlisle, Michael Jackson, Madonna, INXS, UB40, Pat Benatar,  Queen. Mango Groove and many others. I could have done with less narration and corny chit-chat but a good band with some great song choices. (BS)

SINATRA… QUITE FRANKLY
(Rhumbelow Theatre, Allan Wilson Shellhole, Pietermaritzburg)
Durban’s Anthony Stonier salutes the music and memories of Frank Sinatra. At 2pm on Sunday, June 17, only. Tickets cost R150 and Roland Stansell (082 499 8636) is your contact for bookings. (BS)
