GOOD news if you’re a fan of ice shows – the 10th season of the series Dancing on Ice, which starts in the UK this month, is headed for DStv’s ITV Choice from February.

This will be the first “revival” of the series since 2014, reports Wikipedia, adding that the show will boast a new set, a fresh judging line up and a new ice rink and logo.

This show creative directors and mentors, Olympic champs Christopher Dan, 59, and Jayne Torvill, 60, will be head judges on a panel that will include dancer and TV personality Ashley Banjo. The show’s hosts will be Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. Torvill and Dean have gone on record to say  that they will not be on the ice during the new season as the producers have not been insured to do so.

Contestants confirmed for the season include Coronation Street actors Antony Cotton and Brooke Vincent, singer-songwriter Lemar, Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown and former Bucks Fizz singer and TV presenter Cheryl Bakers.

Also set to hit the ice for fancy footwork are ITV weatherman Alex Beresford, actress and TV presenter Donna Air, singer and X-Factor contestant Jake Quickenden, Love Island winner Kem Cetinay and rugby player Max Evans.

Olympic athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton and Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring are also among contestants.
